About PIRlo
PIRlo exists to connect player development with opportunity and give clubs better information for recruitment and decision-making.
What We Do
PIRlo transforms technical and tactical soccer data into clear, position-specific intelligence. We help people understand what happened, why it matters and what should happen next.
Why It Matters
Players need useful development direction. Clubs need stronger recruitment decisions. PIRlo connects performance with opportunity by placing every number in its proper positional, tactical and league context.

The PIRlo Approach
Capture the technical and tactical actions that define performance.

Our Team

Founder & Managing Partner
Jonathan has been in the game for more than 40 years. A former Division I scholarship player at the University of Vermont—Forza Catamounts!—and the founder and creator of PIRlo, he took a detour into the music business in Memphis, Tennessee, before returning to his lifelong passion: the Beautiful Game.
He developed PIRlo over three years, combining his soccer experience with a fascination for sports data analytics that began at age six. From the early work of Bill James through Baseball Prospectus, John Sickels, and today’s FanGraphs, Jonathan has spent a lifetime studying sports data and modeling leagues. PIRlo brings that curiosity to soccer, turning technical and tactical performance into intelligence for development and recruitment.
Jonathan is based in Denver, Colorado, with regular stops in New York City and Madrid. On the off chance he isn’t watching soccer, he follows the Knicks, Mets, Islanders, and Commanders. He is well aware of the poor choices of his misspent youth.
